Veneers New York City - We specialize in bringing you veneers in New York City
You should feel great about your appearance; and this often starts with your smile. We have found that even subtle changes can make an enormous difference in how one feels about his or her appearance. When it comes to improving smiles, dental veneers are highly effective.
Veneers correct a wide range of issues, including:
Veneers are typically completed in three visits. During your first visit, you will discuss with your dentist the results you would like to achieve. Should it be determined that veneers are the optimal treatment, you dentist will assess your teeth and gums and may take x-rays to assist in a simplified fitting process. You will receive all necessary information about the process at this time as well. During your next visit, your dentist will prepare your tooth or teeth for veneers by removing a bit of the surface enamel. Typically about 1/2 millimeter of enamel is removed to accommodate the thickness of the veneer. Once surface enamel has been removed, an impression will be taken to be sent to the lab. Your veneers will be constructed based on the model taken during this visit. It takes 1 to 2 weeks for permanent veneers to be crafted. During this time, it is possible to be fitted with temporary veneers; but there is an added cost for this short-lived treatment. To begin with the final placement of your permanent veneers, your dentist will place the veneer over the tooth to assess fit and color. The veneer will be trimmed and reassessed as needed until the perfect fit has been reached. Before the veneer is cemented into place, the affected tooth or teeth will be cleaned, polished and etched in order to facilitate a strong bonding process. Dental cement is then applied to the veneer and the veneer is adhered into the proper position on your tooth. When in place, your dentist will use a specialized light beam to activate the chemicals in the dental cement which cause it to harden. Once all veneers have been cemented into place, excess cement will be removed and your bite will be evaluated by your dentist. Back to Porcelain Veneers Home Page ![]() Dr. Antonio has made special
